"SACS - Students are Central to our Success" is the theme of the opening day conference at Fayetteville State University (FSU), scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2009. The conference, which marks the official launch of FSU's accreditation reaffirmation for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), will feature remarks from Chancellor James A. Anderson. The keynote speaker for the day is Francine Madrey, Associate Dean of Education at Winston Salem State University. Faculty and Staff will conduct meetings on Thursday, August 13.
Limited services will be available on campus on August 12 and 13 as faculty and staff participate in opening year activities. Normal services will resume on Friday, August 14. Offices will be open extended hours, from 8:30 am - 6:30 pm, on August 17 - 19.
New freshmen move in to residence halls on Saturday, August 15, and will participate in Orientation from August 16 - 19.
The last day for regular registration is Wednesday, August 19. Classes begin on Thursday, August 20.
